Lonely Planet recently listed the canopy tours located in the Elgin Valley, scaling the rugged Hottentots Holland mountains in the Cape Nature reserve as second on the list of the world’s hottest new tourism experiences for 2015. The canopy tours was the only African attraction to make the list! It has been described by Lonely Planet as “vertigo-tinged fun” and “an exciting aerial perspective”.

Enjoy a guided nature zipline experience through the mountains, including 11 ziplines and a suspension bridge over an iconic waterfall in the company of soaring eagles, surrounded by breathtaking Cape fynbos panoramas and mountainscapes only an hour’s drive from Cape Town. Thrilled zipliners who have completed the course have described it as super safe. One commented that the quality of the structure and equipment was reassuringly high and had made her fear of heights irrelevant.

The drive there or back takes you via the famous Clarance Coastal drive that offer breathtaking view over False Bay with Table Mountain in the distance.  If time permits, stop at the Stoney Point Penguin Colony in Betty’s Bay.
